Nahawa Doumbia , born in 1960 in Mafélé, near the border of Côte d'Ivoire is a Malian singer.
She grew up in Bougouni , capital of Wassoulou , south of Bamako , in a family that did not belong to a caste of singers. However, she made a name for herself by participating in several regional and local competitions such as the Weeks of Youth , the Youth Biennale . She also participates in the Concours Découvertes RFI 1 , 2 . She won first place in a national competition with the song Tinye De BE Laben (The Truth Always Triumphs)
